Ahead of the launch of the EU–Japan cooperation call on semiconductors on 7 July 2026, Chips JU will present the upcoming funding opportunity during the EU–Japan Digital Foundations Network Event, taking place in Brussels on 25 and 26 June 2026.

The call will support collaborative research and innovation activities addressing key challenges in next-generation semiconductors, with a focus on AI-driven technologies, advanced chip architectures, chiplets, heterogeneous integration, and integrated photonics. Proposals are expected to demonstrate strong cooperation between European and Japanese organisations.
