Public Consultation and Call for Evidence on the evaluation and review of the Chips Act

The European Commission launched a Public Consultation and Call for Evidence on the evaluation and review of the Chips Act. This initiative invites stakeholders to provide feedback on the current functioning of the Chips Act and on possible future adaptations to ensure the Act remains fit for purpose in light of changing market, technological and geopolitical realities.

The public consultation will gather stakeholders’ views on the adequacy of the current Chips Act and on potential improvements and new avenues for action. The call for evidence is used to define the scope of a possible Chips Act revision. It describes the problem to be tackled and objectives to be met, explains why EU action is needed, outlines policy options and describes the main features of the consultation strategy.
