imec will host the NanoIC pilot line

Following the successful evaluation of innovative semiconductor pilot line proposals, the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) is now negotiating agreements with four consortia to sign the grant agreements and related documents. The grants will be funded by the EU, Member States, and private contributions, focusing on set-up, integration, process development, and operational activities of the pilot lines.

The first pilot line, NanoIC, focused on Advanced sub 2n leading edge-system on chip (SoC) technology will be led by imec, a world-leading research and innovation center in nanoelectronics and digital technologies. This pilot line will support a diversity of industries in Europe, including automotive, telecommunications, health, and more, to develop future-proof products that leverage the latest chip innovations.
