ChipNL Competence Centre

The ChipNL Competence Centre (ChipNL CC) has the objective to be a (inter)nationally recognised entry point for companies, particularly SMEs, startups and scale-ups, seeking expertise and support in the semiconductor industry whilst strengthening expertise and capacities in Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment, Chip Design, Photonics, Quantum technologies and Heterogeneous Integration through the provision of services which facilitate access to knowledge and foster innovation. The support services are offered through thematic tracks: Talent & Skills Development: ChipNL CC acts as a broker between industry and education, will develop a Skills Development Platform to encourage and facilitate company participation in education/training and will invest in Talent Attraction and Retention to address the talent shortages in the semiconductor industry. Business Development & Growth: Services include access to funding (incl Chips Fund), business development for application markets and mentorship programmes. ChipNL CC facilitates connections with accelerators, investors & other support mechanisms to help companies innovate and scale. Technology Services: ChipNL CC provides technical support for small-scale prototyping, access to EU Pilot Lines & EU Design Platform. ChipNL CC maintains a portfolio of technologies and services to guide companies through the semicon value chain. Internationalisation & Promotion: ChipNL CC organises international trade missions, events and workshops to enhance visibility of ChipNL CC and Dutch semicon companies to support their entry to new markets. Through the delivery of its services, ChipNL CC will contribute towards increased collaboration and knowledge exchange in the semicon ecosystem, enhanced talent pool and skills development to meet industry demands, accelerated business growth and market entry, improved access to advanced technologies and strengthened semicon industry, contributing to economic growth & sustainability.
