SUPREME

SUPERCONDUCTING EUROPEAN QUANTUM PILOT LINE

SUPREME will bring superconducting quantum fabrication technologies to a yet unforeseen level in Europe, by developing key superconducting processes to become stable, repeatable, and with high yield. SUPREME will implement a superconducting stability pilot line to address the need for superconducting components and systems for quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing. Significant increases in both technology and manufacturing readiness levels will be achieved thanks to systematic quality assurance procedures and complementary expertise of leading European innovators in SUPREME consortium. The technologies will be available for European users, including start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs, large companies, RTOs and academia through PDKs and a centralized service office. A European pilot line enables European companies to innovate and develop IP in Europe, building a basis for long term economic growth, and to secure European sovereignty and autonomy in superconducting quantum technology. SUPREME will actively participate in the development of the European innovation network and of a European business model for piloting services by collaboration with the Design platform and the other quantum pilot lines. With increased global regulations and export control restrictions, it is of outermost importance that Europe has capabilities and know-how and IP within Europe to develop and fabricate critical quantum technologies. SUPREME stability pilot line will prepare for technology transfer of the developed technology and processing IP to volume foundries to enable wide industrialization of the developed technologies within Europe.
