Innovation in Semiconductors Competence Center

Innovation in Semiconductors Competence Center (InnoSemi) is a project dedicated to investigate, reinforce and strongly support deployment of advanced semiconductor technologies in Polish economy with special emphasize on SME (small and medium-sized enterprise). InnoSemi is targeted to bridge the gap between semiconductor technology research and the economy thus strengthening the scientific and innovation potential of Poland and Europe in the critically important micro/nano-electronics KET (Key Enabling Technologies) domain. Taking into account objectives and priorities of the call such activities will be undertaken: -implementation of customer specific semiconductor solutions in electronic systems -promoting of technology & design services available in Poland as well at the European level -supporting the consortia that implement the pilot lines and the design platform to reach out to the larger community of organizations that could profit from those efforts -offering access to training on semiconductors, including workforce upskilling and reskilling through face-to-face as well as online training Competence Center is a consortium between KIGEIT (eng.: „National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications”), Academic faculties: Technical University in Łódź (TUL), Technical University in Poznan (PUT), Warsaw Uniwersity (UNIWARSAW) and Research and Development Institutions: Łukasiewicz - Polish Center for Technology Development (Ł-PORT) and Łukasiewicz – the Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (Ł-IMiF). Such competences can give wide range of skills matching specific needs of enterprises active in Polish semiconductor related market sectors such as: sensorics (bio-medical devices and systems, environment monitoring and protection, agriculture and power electronics), custom specific integrated electronics: smart cities, automotive as well as e-government application with special stress on hardware cybersecurity.
