Competence centre for Access to DEsign Technology and Training Italy
The CADETTI project aims to establish the Italian microelectronics Competence Centre in line with the Chips-2024-CCC-3 call under the Chips for Europe Initiative. Led by Fondazione Chips-IT, founded by the Italian government in 2023, the project promotes semiconductor design through research collaborations with national and international institutions while strengthening professional training in microelectronics. The CADETTI project will enhance Europe’s competitiveness by offering technical services, training, and funding support, particularly benefiting SMEs and start-ups. It focuses on three strategic objectives of the European Chips Act: establishing a Competence Centre as a knowledge hub, facilitating skills development through training, upskilling, and reskilling initiatives, and supporting research and innovation by helping companies access funding, including the Chips Fund and Venture Capital. These efforts will drive semiconductor advancements and reinforce Europe’s leadership in the sector.
