EURADET

EURADET – A European Advanced Design Enablement Team built on Racyics’ fully featured makeChip infrastructure

Racyics proposes the establishment of a Design Enablement Team (DET) fully integrated into the Chips for Europe Initiative’s Design Platform. This DET will be operated through Racyics’ existing makeChip platform - a secure, cloud-based IC design environment that has successfully supported academic and industrial users across Europe since 2017. The project focuses on securely interconnecting makeChip with the Platform Coordination Team (PCT) central cloud infrastructure, enabling the seamless deployment of Infrastructure-as-Code components, user authentication, license monitoring APIs and more. As part of the integration, Racyics will ensure compatibility, compliance, and reliability through dedicated configuration, monitoring, and validation. The result will be a consistent, scalable, and vendor-neutral user experience aligned with the given architecture of the Design Platform. Together with makeChip, Racyics already fulfils the core functions expected from a DET. A complete suite of pre-installed commercial EDA tools is available, supported by a silicon-proven, end-to-end design flow and experienced application engineering. As a Channel Partner of GlobalFoundries, Racyics provides users with authorized access to advanced PDKs and others. Backed by a team of 140 engineers with expertise down to the 3 nm node, Racyics also offers advanced design services, prototyping, and packaging through Multi-Project Wafer runs and partnerships with EU-based Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test vendors (OSATs) . The DET will support European start-ups, SMEs, and academic users in designing complex ICs, accelerating innovation in key application areas including automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics. With its operational infrastructure, technical depth, and strategic alignment, Racyics is well positioned to contribute meaningfully to the Chips JU objectives of strengthening Europe’s semiconductor design capabilities and technological sovereignty.
